Guided tours:

We are happy to offer school classes aged 6 - 18 an overview tour of our museum at the House of Music. 

• Requests for the winter semester can be processed from August 1st.
• Requests for the summer semester can be processed from January 1st. 

Our museum is designed to be interactive and self-explanatory, which is why a guided tour is only optional for school classes. 

We offer accompanying materials for an independent tour without a guided tour. Various puzzles - to print out yourself - as well as a self-designed puzzle booklet, which can be purchased at the museum ticket office for € 2, can provide educational support for the visit.

Age group 3 - 5 years:

For our very young visitors, we recommend an independent visit - without a guided tour - through the museum. The House of Music offers a multitude of impressions, which is why we recommend an individual pace.

To help educators, we are happy to offer regular guided tours of the museum so that they can get to know it in advance and set an individual pace for their visit.

The maximum number of people per appointment is 25. The duration of the tour is 1.5 to 2 hours and includes an overview of the museum, with a focus on the interactive stations suitable for kindergarten children.

Age group 6 -12 years:

For school classes with children aged 6 - 12 years, we offer an overview tour of our 4 floors from Monday to Friday at 9:30 am or 10:00 am. 

These include:

• Exhibition of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (1st floor)
• Perceiving music with all the senses (2nd floor)
• Composers of Viennese Classicism (3rd floor)
• Virtual conductor (4th floor)

The duration is approx. 1.5 hours. 

Cost per child: € 7,- (€ 6,- entrance fee + € 1,- guide fee)

Age group 13 - 18 years:

For all school classes aged 13 - 18, we offer a guided tour with a focus on music history from Monday to Friday at 14:00. 

This includes:

• Exhibition of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (1st floor)
• Composers of Viennese Classicism (3rd floor)

The duration is approx. 1.5 hours. As our museum is interactive, the remaining time can be used to explore the individual stations and try things out for yourself.

Cost per child: € 10,- (€ 8,- entrance fee + € 2,- guide fee)
