Where children conduct state orchestras.

The House of Music is an adventure playground for the ears. Who's going on a voyage of discovery?

Guided tours for all ages

The House of Music offers age-appropriate guided tours for kindergartens, elementary schools, lower and upper grades.

Children can play melodies on the "piano staircase", compose on the "waltz dice game" or even conduct the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. This and much more can be discovered at the Sound Museum!

Children and young people aged 3 - 18 explore famous composers and musical phenomena. Guided tours last 1.5 to 2 hours and are flexibly adapted to the group size and interests.

Music education

The House of Music offers children and pupils an innovative approach to the topic of music and opens up new ways of teaching musical content. With the help of accompanying material such as puzzles and brain games, pupils can discover the exhibition independently and gain knowledge.

The smartphone guide also offers an in-depth insight into the world of composers and sounds with a tour for children and adults.

Accompanying educational material

We have created accompanying documents for the visit with pupils.

Here you will find worksheets, puzzles and brain teasers to work on during the visit. We also provide tips for a debriefing in the classroom.

One step, one note. Which note? The easy way into the world of music is via this unique sound staircase.

The interactive piano was developed in cooperation with the Lang Lang International Music Foundation.

Children's concerts

From children's songs to classical music: at the children's concerts in the Haus der Musik, children enjoy listening to music. It's educational and invites them to sing along.
