For families

The new family concert at the Haus der Musik - with singer-songwriter Toni Knittel, better known as BLUATSCHINK!

TONI KNITTEL - the songwriter as a mythical creature
The Bluatschink is a mythical creature from the Lech river that supposedly eats small children. But Toni Knittel transformed it from a child scare to an environmental advocate back in 1990 and since then this "water wolpertinger" has been looking after the wild river Lech.

Over the years, in addition to many CDs for adults ("Funka fliaga", "I han di gera"), he has always made music for children. In all these programs, the songs that focused on magical creatures were particularly well received by the children. Whether quirky, funny, cheeky or simply cuddly - Bluatschink is taking these magical creatures on tour with him in 2018.

The big stars in this illustrious group are, of course, Knight Rüdiger and the wide-mouthed frog, but the Chaos Fairy, Steini the Neanderthal and the baby dragon JUHUI are not to be missed either. You can look forward to a really varied concert with big and small dragons, dwarves, enchanted fairies and bewitched magicians.

There is a reason why Bluatschink deliberately describes its concerts as "family concerts". Toni Knittel: "We don't have the children sitting at the front and the adults at the back. I'm a father of four myself and I always wanted to experience first-hand how my own children participate fully in the Punch and Judy show, for example, how they scream and live along. What's more, the children get the adults involved and when the children, parents and grandparents quack, sing and imitate Knight Rüdiger's long nose together - then I'm happy!"

The fact that Bluatschink is also a Lechtal environmental advocate for endangered animal species and the environment means that the children's concerts are not all thigh-slapping fun. Many of the songs are packed with thought-provoking stories - and the real secret recipe for Bluatschink's success is their ability to always spice up this educational approach with a huge portion of humor and not let the entertainment fall short.
