Guided tours:

We are happy to offer school classes in the Haus der Musik, aged 6-18, an overview of our museum.

• Inquiries for the winter semester can be edited from August 1st.
• Inquiries for the summer semester can be edited from January 1st. 

Our museum is interactive and designed in a self -explanatory manner, which is why leadership is only optional for school classes. 

We offer accompanying materials for an independent passage without a guide. Different puzzles- for printing yourself- as well as a self-designed guesswork, which can be purchased at the museum treasury for € 2, can support the visit pedagogically.

Age group 3 - 5 years:

For our very young visitors, we recommend an independent visit - without a tour - through the museum. The House of Music offers a variety of impressions, which is why we advise an individual pace.

As a help, we offer pedagogue: Inside, regular guided tours of the museum to get to know this in advance and to be able to determine an individual visual speed.

The next dates are:

  • 04/11/2025 at 4:00 p.m.
  • 09.05.2025 at 4:00 p.m.
  • 06.06.2025 at 4:00 p.m.

The maximum number per appointment is 25 people. The duration of the tour is 1.5 to 2 hours and includes an overview of the museum, whereby the focus is on the interactive stations that are suitable for kindergarten children.

Age group 6-12 years:

For school classes with children between the ages of 6 and 12, we offer an overview of our 4 floors from Monday to Friday at 9:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. 

These include:

• Exhibition of the Vienna Philharmonic (1st floor)
• Perceive music with all your senses (2nd floor)
• Composer of the Viennese classic (3rd floor)
• Virtual conductor (4. Stock)

The duration is about 1.5 hours. 

Cost per child: € 7,- (€ 6,- admission price + € 1,- management contribution)

Age group 13 - 18 years:

From Monday to Friday at 2:00 p.m., we offer a tour of a music history focus for all school classes aged 13-18. 

This includes:

• Exhibition of the Vienna Philharmonic (1st floor)
• Composer of the Viennese classic (3rd floor)

The duration is about 1.5 hours. Since our museum is interactive, the rest of the time can be used to explore the individual stations and to try it out.

Cost per child: € 10,- (€ 8,- admission price + € 2,- management contribution)
