Joseph Haydn
Joseph Haydn became a world star. It is the oldest of the six composers who are presented on the 3rd floor. He was born in late baroque and is considered the “inventor” of the string quartet.
He also became known with his 104 (!) Symphonies and other works. His parrot was able to whistle the hymn, which he had written for Emperor Franz I (II.) And even croak the words “Papa Haydn”.
Wolfgang A. Mozart
The born Salzburg also moved to Vienna - to the world capital of music. Here he could develop his genius.
His life is legend and offered a lot of material for posterity. His person surrounds a special flair.
Ludwig van Beethoven
He came from Bonn and moved at the age of 22 to create famous symphonies. He wrote one of the best known when he had already become completely deaf: the 9th symphony

The composer from Vienna led the waltz to the world-wide triumph. Born at the end of the Viennese classic, he stood for the entertainment music of his time.
He is said to have cut off the hair curls for his admirers from a poodle.
Gustav Mahler
The nature, the sea and the forest served him as a home and refuge. There he was surrounded by flowers and birds, happy, lonely, in his element, alone with himself and the music.
Gustav Mahler was not only a passionate composer, but also a conductor and director of the Vienna Court Opera.
