Recommended age: Ideal for kids aged 5 and up.
A concert to listen to, talk along to, dance along to, and sing along to.
"Night Music and the Magic Flute" humorously introduces young audiences to the life and work of Austria's most famous composer. Not only listening, but also participation is encouraged when Marko Simsa takes a carriage ride just like in Mozart's time. The first row of the audience becomes the galloping horses, along with a few coachmen and women, and all the other listeners as passengers who are vigorously jostled about. Little Wolfgang and his sister Nannerl play blindfolded at the imperial court. Children from the audience conduct the small orchestra and dance a very festive minuet from the opera Don Giovanni. And together, they all form the great "Papageno Chorus" in the Birdcatcher's Song! A varied journey through the most famous works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
