Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. The information generated by Google Analytics about your use of this website (including your IP address) is stored by Google Inc. Google will use this information solely for the purpose of analyzing website usage. Anonymized reports and charts are created regarding the number of visits, the number of pages viewed per user, etc. We use these exclusively for our own market research and, above all, for optimizing and tailoring our website to user needs. You can find more information about Google Analytics at www.google.com/analytics .
Cookies are used for this purpose, enabling an analysis of website usage by users. The information generated is transmitted to the provider's server and stored there. Your IP address is recorded but immediately pseudonymized. This means that only a rough localization is possible.

NEWSLETTER
The following information explains the content of our newsletter, the registration, distribution, and statistical evaluation procedures, as well as your rights to object. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.

Newsletter Content:
We only send newsletters, emails, and other electronic notifications containing promotional information (hereinafter "newsletters") with the recipient's consent or where legally permitted. If the newsletter's content is specifically described during the registration process, this description is decisive for the user's consent. Otherwise, our newsletters contain information about current exhibition content at the House of Music, concerts, events, and ongoing promotions.

Double Opt-In and Logging:
Registration for our newsletter uses a double opt-in process. This means that after registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. This confirmation is necessary to prevent anyone from subscribing using someone else's email address.
Newsletter subscriptions are logged to document the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes recording the registration and confirmation times, as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with DialogMail are also logged.

Use of the mailing service provider “Dialog-Mail”
Newsletters are sent via “DialogMail”.

The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this notice, are stored on DialogMail's servers in Austria. DialogMail uses this information to send and analyze the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, DialogMail may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, for example, for the technical optimization of newsletter delivery and display, or for business purposes, such as determining the countries of origin of the recipients. However, DialogMail does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them directly or to share it with third parties.
We trust in DialogMail's reliability and its IT and data security. DialogMail is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield and is therefore committed to complying with EU data protection regulations. We have also concluded a Data Processing Agreement . This agreement obligates DialogMail to protect our users' data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its privacy policy, and, in particular, not to share it with third parties. You can view DialogMail's privacy policy here .

Registration details:
To subscribe to the newsletter, simply provide your email address. Optionally, you can also provide your first and last name. This information is used solely for personalizing the newsletter.

Statistical Data Collection and Analysis:
The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon," i.e., a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from DialogMail's server when the newsletter is opened. During this retrieval, technical information such as browser and system details, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval, are collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or to analyze target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.
The statistical data collection also includes determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened, and which links are clicked. While this information can be technically associated with individual newsletter recipients, it is neither our intention, nor that of DialogMail, to monitor individual users. Rather, the analyses serve to help us understand our users' reading habits and to tailor our content accordingly, or to send different content based on our users' interests.
Online Access and Data Management:
There are instances where we redirect newsletter recipients to DialogMail's website. For example, our newsletters contain a link that allows recipients to access the newsletter online (e.g., in case of display problems in their email program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can subsequently correct their data, such as their email address. Similarly, privacy policy only accessible on their website.

In this context, we would like to point out that DialogMail uses cookies on its websites, and that personal data is processed by DialogMail, its partners, and service providers (e.g., Google Analytics). We have no control over this data collection. Further information can be found in privacy policy . We would also like to draw your attention to the options for objecting to data collection for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European Economic Area).

Cancellation/Revocation:
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, i.e., revoke your consent. This simultaneously revokes your consent to its distribution via DialogMail and the statistical analyses. A separate revocation of the distribution via DialogMail or the statistical analysis is unfortunately not possible.
You will find a link to unsubscribe at the end of each newsletter.

Legal Basis for Data Processing:
In accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018, we inform you that consent to the sending of emails is based on Article 6 (1)(a) and 7 of the GDPR, as well as 7 (2)(3) and (3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG). The use of the email service provider DialogMail, the implementation of statistical surveys and analyses, and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR. Our interest lies in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and meets user expectations.
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the legal requirements pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR. This objection can be made, in particular, against processing for direct marketing purposes.
