A concert with birdsong, thunder, and sleeping shepherds.
It's not just the cello and guitar that can imitate birds. Young audience members can also whistle and chirp like the birds in Antonio Vivaldi's "Spring." And the thunderclap can be produced just as well with the bass drum as with the cello and guitar. We, too, can slumber like the shepherds in Vivaldi's "Summer." A communal dance by the country folk to Vivaldi's "Autumn" is, of course, a must. And thankfully, scarves and woolly hats are available for the instruments in winter as well.
In his concert cycle "The Four Seasons," Antonio Vivaldi imitated the sounds and noises of nature using musical instruments. Marko Simsa will help his young audience discern many of these details. He will be accompanied by guitar and cello – sometimes in astonishing ways!
