The Ashbury College Music Ensembles from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) are guests at the House of Music Vienna and will present a varied concert program.

Ashbury College, founded in 1891, is an independent day and boarding school and IB World School with around 750 students in grades 4 to 12. The school is located in Canada's capital, Ottawa – on the traditional, uninhabited territory of the Anishinàbe Algonquin Nation – and unites an international community of over 60 nationalities, including children from diplomatic backgrounds as well as national and international boarding students.

award-winning music program regularly participates in regional and national competitions and is an integral part of numerous school events. Performing ensembles include concert bands, jazz bands, choirs, a pit band, small ensembles, and a string ensemble.

The musical spectrum ranges from Canadian identity and folk music to colorful soundscapes and international impressions, as well as classical chamber music and contemporary works – with selected pieces by Calixa Lavallée, Brian Balmages, Ed Calle, Joseph Haydn , and moving musical statements of the present.
