For families
The new family concert at the House of Music – with singer-songwriter Toni Knittel, better known as BLUATSCHINK!
TONI KNITTEL – the singer-songwriter as a mythical creature.
The Bluatschink is a mythical creature from the Lech River that supposedly eats small children. But Toni Knittel transformed it from a bogeyman to an environmental advocate back in 1990, and since then this "water wolpertinger" has been watching over the wild Lech River.
Over the years, in addition to many CDs for adults ("Funka fliaga," "I han di gera"), he has always made music for children. In all these programs, the songs featuring magical creatures were especially popular with children. Whether quirky, funny, cheeky, or simply cuddly – Bluatschink is taking these magical creatures with him on tour in 2018.
The big stars in this illustrious group are, of course, Knight Rüdiger and the Wide-Mouthed Frog, but the Chaos Fairy, Steini the Neanderthal, and the Baby Dragon JUHUI are also essential. Prepare yourself for a truly diverse concert featuring dragons large and small, dwarves, enchanted fairies, and bewitched wizards.
There's a reason Bluatschink deliberately calls its concerts "family concerts." Toni Knittel explains: "With us, the children don't sit in the front and the adults in the back. I'm a father of four myself, and I always wanted to experience firsthand how my own children, for example, fully participate in the puppet show, shouting along and getting caught up in the moment. Besides, the children get the adults involved, and when the children, parents, and grandparents are all croaking, singing, and imitating Knight Rüdiger's long nose together – then I'm happy!"
The fact that Bluatschink, as the Lechtal's environmental advocate, also champions endangered species and the environment means that his children's concerts aren't just about slapstick humor. Many of his songs contain thought-provoking stories – and the real secret to Bluatschink's success lies in his ability to always season this educational message with a huge dose of humor while ensuring that entertainment is never neglected.
