Australian folk musician JB Paterson brings his distinctive sound to the House of Music as a solo artist. The songwriter from Cedar Creek (Queensland) is often compared to greats like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, or Townes Van Zandt – yet he has forged his own unique voice with his uncompromising DIY approach.
With three self-produced albums and numerous performances ranging from intimate club shows to festival stages, Paterson tells compelling stories, driven by raw musicality and poetic depth. His latest album, The Whole World's Gone Mad, And So Have I (2025), reveals a new, edgier side: characterized by social observation, expansive narrative arcs, and an authentic, handcrafted sound.
Support Act: Lucia Stavros
Lucia Stavros is a New York-based harpist, singer-songwriter, and producer. In her projects, she explores the spiritual and emotional connections that arise in and through music. As The Deli Magazine writes, her "captivating, often mysterious use of language" creates a cross-generational form of chamber pop that feels both modern and baroque. Her most recent release is the single and music video "Hard Hearted," and her independently produced debut album, Burn You Up, was released in September 2023.
