 > Marko Simsa: The Zoo Concert

Marko Simsa and Erke Duit have collaborated on numerous concerts for children, including classics like "Peter and the Wolf," "Carnival of the Animals," and "The Four Seasons." Erke Duit also composed the music for their joint stage adaptation of Grimm's fairy tale "The Bremen Town Musicians." (The CD recording was nominated for the "Leopold – Good Music for Children" award by the Association of German Music Schools.)

“The Zoo Concert” is a concert for children, based on a story by Marko Simsa, set to music by Erke Duit – the premiere was at the Vienna Musikverein.

Synopsis:
Rosalie has to go to sleep. But because she's not tired yet, she opens a huge zoo in her bed. All the stuffed animals from her room are there! The penguin waddles over the edge of the bed, the crocodile sings the blues, the frog dances the polka, and the centipede diligently practices its centipede tap. There are also trumpeting elephants, funny monkeys, a cheeky parrot, and many others. We can look forward to the musical ideas of Erke Duit and Marko Simsa. And of course, the audience is invited to join in the tap dancing, singing, waddling, humming, hissing…
