A concert for singing and dancing along, for people aged 5 and up

TSCHIRIBIM – Klezmer music for children

Traveling musicians are in town, bringing with them a wealth of songs. There's exuberant playing and singing, joyful dancing and clapping, hearty laughter, a few tears, and then more laughter. A "Klezmer" is a folk musician who learns music from their parents. In keeping with tradition, their songs tell of family, friends, and celebrations, but also of love and sorrow.
Marko Simsa and the ensemble "KlezmerReloaded" focus on the joy of life and present Klezmer music for children.

Marko Simsa on the project: I'm especially pleased that I was able to get one of the most interesting Klezmer ensembles in our city on board for this concert. I heard and saw them one evening at the Theater am Spittelberg and thought, how wonderful it would be if children could experience this too! And it seems the two of them have been thinking the same thing for a while now… – And so we're delighted that we'll be sharing the stage together for the first time at this very Theater am Spittelberg!
There will be clarinet and bass clarinet, accordion, and we'll be singing "Tschiribim," "As der Rebbe singt," and "Hulyet Kinderlach." There might even be a Klezmer version of "Männlein steht im Walde." There will certainly be dancing, and I think that when KlezmerReloaded plays for both children and adults, everyone will hopefully enjoy it! We ourselves are very excited and look forward to seeing you there!
