Twenty years after the release of his acclaimed album Drinking Songs, Matt Elliott returns to this milestone with Drinking Songs Live 20 Years On – in a stunning live version recorded as a trio. Known for his unique blend of dark folk, Eastern European cabaret, and experimental electronics, Elliott explores themes such as loss, memory, and human existence in his music with poignant intensity.
Together with Anne-Elisabeth de Cologne (double bass) and Barbara Dang (piano), he lends new depth to his iconic pieces. The intimate, emotionally charged reinterpretations reflect the essence of the original – enriched by two decades of artistic maturity.
