“Americana” from Austria: Son of the Velvet Rat live at the House of Music
Son of the Velvet Rat are going on tour – with songs from the acclaimed Red Barn Sessions as well as their current album Ghost Ranch .
For over 22 years, this Styrian group has been among the most outstanding acts in the Austrian music scene. The duo, consisting of Georg Altziebler and Heike Binder, has long since captivated audiences in the United States as well, where the two artists regularly reside and perform.

The new live program combines current material with selected highlights from the band's extensive back catalog. Musically, the repertoire ranges from delicate neo-folk chanson to raw garage rock – an evening full of stylistic diversity and emotional depth.

Daniel Tortoledo is a Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter based in Vienna. His energetic indie/rock style is reminiscent of bands like The Kinks, David Bowie, The Beatles, Blur, and The Strokes. He has been part of the Viennese music scene since 2022.
