THE BURNING HELL is the ongoing music project of songwriter Mathias Kom and multi-instrumentalists Ariel Sharratt and Jake Nicoll, often supported by other collaborators and musicians. Their genre-crossing, densely packed songs are full of literary, historical, cultural, and pop-cultural references – populated by heroes and villains, subjects and objects, stories, and catchy hooks.
With a blend of weighty rhymes and a light touch, they combine a persistent fascination with apocalypse and decay with a celebration of life in a surprising, entertaining, and occasionally even beautiful world. In other words: they make great dance partners and would love to dance with you.
