A new eye -catcher in the House of Music
For the 25th anniversary, the museum sets a colorful sign for the present and future: The Upper Austrian graffiti and mural artist Max Rocks (Markus "Max" Wesenauer) has designed the gang in front of the area of this year's annual regent Johann Strauss with a large-format mural-alive, playful and full of energy.
🎨 Sound in color: see music, listen to your eyes
Max Rocks, whose work already adorns numerous Viennese walls, interprets Johann Strauss' lively music in a visually captivating visual language in the new Mural.
Instead of a classic portrait, visitors can expect: on the inside a collage -like total work of art that captures the nature of the waltz king in a color -intensive, dynamic and detailed manner. The past and the present merge into a living composition that invites you to experience music in a new way.
"This Mural invites you to listen to music with your eyes - and rediscover Strauss, beyond time and age." - Max Rocks
🖼️ A work of art that connects
The new Mural is much more than a decorative element: it transforms the space into an atmospheric place of the encounter - and literally makes the music of Johann Strauss tangible. It stands for manual precision, urban energy and fresh access to classical music - exactly where history meets the presence.
🔄 step by step to the new exhibition
The mural is part of a comprehensive redesign process of the permanent exhibition at level 3, which is dedicated to the great masters of Viennese classical music. After the opening of the new Schubert area modernization of the entire bouquet area follows . The other composer rooms will also be gradually re -staged in the coming months with the ongoing museum operation.
